As a supportive force behind the scenes, we always stand by our customers and are committed to honest manufacturing, valuing human connections. We will continue to brighten everyday life and support people's smiles. We look forward to your continued support for the NK Group.

Representative Director and President Hiroaki Naoi
Origin of company name
Nissin Kako was founded in 1948, but its origins go back to 1931 when its founder, Shinshiro Otaki, established "Nihon Shoko" in Nishiginza, Kyobashi-ku, Tokyo (at the time), selling oil bleaching agents and detergents. Japan at the time was in the early Showa period; subways had opened in Tokyo and Osaka, and homes were gradually becoming more convenient with the introduction of electricity, gas, and running water.
In 1942, in the midst of the Pacific War, Shinshiro Otaki spun off the oil and fat division of Nihon Shoko, giving birth to "Nisshin Kako Kenkyusho," the predecessor of the current company. The company name "Nissin Kako," which doesn't sound like a chocolate company, originates from the fact that it manufactured and sold oil and fat-related products such as soap at that time.
